Annual Dues

Dues Contribution

The Merion Civic Association is a 501(c)(3) organization. To the extent provided by laws and regulations, your dues are tax-deductible.

Dear Merion Neighbors,

We at the Merion Civic Association are feeling much gratitude for the support we have received from you, our community, over this past year.  We were inspired by the legacy of Merion’s leaders of over a century ago, who had the foresight and fortitude to do big things that we still benefit from today.  We have the beautiful train station and the incredible Merion Tribute House serving as testaments to the commitments they made to enhance the idyllic charm Merion already had in abundance.  By setting out to, and, (with all of your donations); accomplishing our goal of remaking and installing the treasured train station window boxes, we were proud to continue to preserve their historic contributions to our home town.

With all of the distractions of modern life, a civic association may seem like a quaint throwback to those days of old.  That however, is the key to its relevance.  We understand that at a minimum, people still need community and connection.  At the MCA, our mission has always been to promote the safety, prosperity, and well-being of the residents of Merion.  All of our annual community events and monthly meetings echo this philosophy.  The generous dues and donations from you, our Merion community, have sent us the resounding message that this strikes a chord with you as well.

Here are some examples of the MCA’s mission at work:

  • Monthly meetings featuring speakers and lecturers ranging from Township officials, law enforcement, educational institutions, and historical societies

  • Meetings to inform about large scale development plans such as the St. Charles Seminary property

  • Flag Day Concert highlighting Lower Merion’s award winning Jazz Band and The Yard

  • Train Station Window Box Fund Drive and Annual Spring Planting

  • Climb in Fire Truck, Police Car, and Ambulance Event for families

  •  Monthly MCA Newsletter and periodic email blasts to keep you up to speed on local issues and events

We invite you on the 4th Tuesday of every month to attend our Board Meeting at 7:30PM at the Merion Tribute House.  These meetings usually feature a guest speaker and cover topics of local interest in person with our Township Commissioner, Lower Merion School Board rep, etc.  We encourage you to join us and get involved.  We look forward to hearing from you!

We hear your voice through our annual dues drive and occasional fundraisers, that you value what the MCA strives to accomplish; and we thank you for that.  Please continue to support the MCA with your Annual Dues contribution.  Just by being a Merion resident, you are already a de facto member of the Merion Civic Association.  This is our only source of revenue, so we rely on you each year to please help keep our community vibrant with your nominal household membership.
